Made with one-inch thick steel, the rail has a brown vein finish for added visibility. It also adds a little extra support for the patient, securing them in bed while also providing a place for them to hold if necessary. A spring-loaded release allows a caregiver or medical professional to raise or lower the rails at any time, which offers easy patient access as well as security.
